jim hay appointed assistant vice chancellor

One of our very own, Facilities Management's new Assistant Vice Chancellor, Jim Hay, has devoted his career to making UCI shine. Jim came to work at UCI in 1972. Over the past 34 years, Jim's responsibilities have grown with the campus. His appointment as AVC brings the number of jobs he's held in Facilities to nine - starting as a laborer and progressing through the superintendent series to assistant director in 1999.

Jim brings to his new job a potent combination - an understanding of our department from the bottom up and the top down, as well as relationships on campus forged on integrity and honesty, Jim's guiding principles.
