faciities management avc accepts new challenge
Paige Macias, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Facilities Management has been appointed Associate
Vice Chancellor of Administrative & Business Services effective June 15, 2006.
Paige has been with Facilities Management since 2001. During her tenure, she has focused on customer service, developing a leaner more responsive organization, and estabishing strict fiscal controls.
Paige is an "Anteater" with considerable experience extending through
a succession of increasingly responsible positions. She graduated
from UCI with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree
in administration from the Paul Merage School of Business. Prior to serving in Facilities, she held
various management positions in the College of Medicine and
Administrative Computing Services before taking the position of
Administrative & Business Services' Budget Officer.
Paige has appointed Jim Hay as Interim Assistant Vice
Chancellor of Facilities Management. Jim has been with UCI since 1972, and is currently the Director of
Buildings & Grounds, Skilled Trades, and Renovations. Jim's long-term
experience in Facilities Management and effectual working relationships in Facilities as well as across the campus community will allow him to quickly
transition and maintain continuity of important ongoing Facilities
initiatives.
