Renovation team summer projects

Summertime is one of our busiest for renovations at Facilities Management. With many students and faculty gone for summer break, the quiet campus provides an opportunity to work without disturbing academics. Winter and spring breaks are also ideal times to complete renovations projects.

If your department is considering a renovation for the near future, we are now creating our fall/winter list. Please be in contact with us so that our Facilities Management and Renovation Team can help you scope your project with plans, budgeting, and design. Planning ahead will directly correlate in a smoother project.

This summer we have several large projects we are completing:

· Child care center and playground – completion of site preparation for the new 5,000 square foot facility.
· Classroom renovations – we are continuing our fourth of six summer classroom renovation projects. This includes renovating approximately 8,000 square feet and creating technology “smart” classrooms.
· Central Cashier’s Office – we will complete an interior renovation which will include HVAC upgrades, a new ceiling, and new office modules.
· Verano Maintenance Facility – this new 4,000 square foot building will house maintenance and an office/locker area.
· Middle Earth Fire Alarms – phase one housing buildings will receive a complete upgrade of fire alarms.
· Reines Hall Laboratory – this project will customize a laboratory for Physical Sciences.

Additionally, work is being accomplished in multiple locations throughout campus and includes such work as energy power upgrades, minor remodels, road and infrastructure repairs, and many more.
